Ceandess was founded in 1924 by Chilcot, Stephens & Scott and has been part of the Midlands metal engineering industry ever since. In the 1940’s Ceandess developed a range of filler caps for the British motorcycle and car industries, and we take pride in the continued development and supply of filler caps, necks, and filters within the industry.
Our capabilities include Powder coating, Laser cutting, press brake forming, High speed coil fed presses up to 400t, Spot welding, Robotic MIG welding, TIG, Brazing, soldering and Vibro-de-burr finishing.
Over the last few years, we have invested in cloud-based technology that has allowed faster processing and safe, compliant record keeping. This also supports our sustainability policy and goes towards us becoming a paperless business and reducing our carbon footprint.
All manufacturing and supply are carried out by our qualified and highly motivated staff members who have extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge of our products and quality standards.
Over the years we have been involved in a couple of art projects including the “The Gift of Life Project”. A DNA Organ donation monument that is situated outside Wolverhampton New Cross Hospital to thank those who have given the gift of life through organ donation. And The Key Globe monument that is situated outside a care home in Willenhall and represents the history of Key manufacturing in Willenhall. The town is historically famous for the manufacture of locks and keys. As early as 1770 Willenhall contained 148 skilled locksmiths and its coat of arms reflects the importance of this industry to its growth. It was home to the National Union of Lock and Metal Workers from 1889 until 2004.
