Quick Action Bayonet (QAB) fuel caps are a type of fast-connecting fuel cap system designed for efficient and secure fuel tank access.

Design and Functionality

Quick Action Bayonet (QAB) fuel caps consist of two main components:

A cap with bayonet-style lugs or pins
A receiver on the fuel tank with corresponding slots or grooves

The connection is made by inserting the cap into the receiver and then rotating it a quarter-turn (90 degrees) to lock it in place. The twist-and-lock mechanism provides a quick, secure connection without the need for additional tools.
